PRACTICAL PART

(Simple Activities you can include in your Project)

You can mention that you conducted these activities with a group of students (even 10–20 students is okay).

Activity 1: “Emotion Check-In Circle”

Students sit in a circle.

Each student shares how they feel: happy, sad, angry, tired, or excited.

The teacher helps them express emotions in words.

Purpose: Improves self-awareness and emotional expression.

Outcome: Students became more open and confident in sharing feelings.

Activity 2: “Empathy Walk”

Show students different situations (e.g., a child who has lost a pencil, a friend who has been left out).

Students explain how that person might feel.

Purpose: Develops empathy and understanding of others.

Outcome: Students showed improved kindness and care.

Activity 3: “Calm-Down Breathing”

Teach students:

·      4 seconds inhale

·      4 second's hold

·      4 seconds exhale

Do this for 3 minutes daily.

Purpose: Helps with self-management and stress control.

Outcome: Reduced anger outbursts and improved focus.

Activity 4: “Compliment Cards”

Each student writes something nice about another student.

Cards are exchanged.

Purpose: Builds positive relationships and self-esteem.

Outcome: Strengthened peer bonding and classroom atmosphere improved.

Activity 5: “Decision-Making Box”

Give students small situations such as:

“Your friend broke your toy—what will you do?”

“You lost a match—how will you react?”

Students choose from:

·      Angry reaction

·      Calm reaction

·      Helpful reaction

Purpose: Improves responsible decision-making.

Outcome: Students demonstrated better thought-out actions.

Practical Findings (You can write this in your project)

After conducting the activities, students showed:

Better emotional control

More kindness and empathy

Improved behaviour and discipline

Increased confidence

Stronger friendships

Higher participation in class

Conclusion:

Emotional and Social Learning (SEL) has a strong and positive impact on students’ well-being. It helps them become emotionally strong, socially responsible, academically focused, and mentally healthy. Schools that incorporate SEL activities daily tend to see happier, more disciplined, and more confident students.
